Dutchess County, NY Family Nurse Practitioner

Amy N. Bryson, FNP-C

I'm a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who chose to step away from traditional, insurance-based medicine after years of feeling like I was treating symptoms instead of people. I burned out—not from the patients, but from a system that prioritized billing codes over root causes, 7-minute visits over meaningful conversations, and prescriptions over prevention.

I founded my practice to reclaim what matters most in healthcare: relationships, time, and personalized care. By stepping into Direct Primary Care, I’ve created a space where I TREAT patients the way they NEED to be treated. Provide healthcare to patients of all backgrounds so they can access HIGH quality healthcare. LISTENING to the patients and THEIR needs so they can always walk away feeling heard and RELIEVED. The way medicine was supposed to be—focusing on the whole person.

Here, you’re not just a chart, a billing code, or a reimbursement check. You’re a person with a story, and my job is to help uncover the “why” behind your symptoms. Help you understand it and work with you to help you FEEL better.

Let’s rewrite the healthcare story together—on your terms.

Clinical Experience

After graduating from nursing school, I worked in a variety of settings including Pediatric ICU and Open-Heart Operating Room. It was during this time that I developed a deep appreciation for the art and science of nursing, as well as the importance of establishing trusting relationships with patients. I eventually continued my training onto a Master's Degree.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), I have the ability to assess, diagnose, treat and prescribe for your acute and chronic illnesses. I can be your Primary Care Provider, or your supplemental provider should you only want a few auxiliary services (hormone replacement or autoimmune support). I have a genuine passion for providing high-quality healthcare to individuals and families.

Throughout my Practitioner career, I have had the privilege of working in diverse clinical settings, including primary care/family practices and urgent care facilities. These experiences have honed my clinical skills and reinforced my commitment to delivering comprehensive healthcare services to individuals of all ages.

Patient-Centered Care

My primary goal is to empower my patients to take control of their health. I prioritize open communication, active listening, and a holistic approach to healthcare. I understand that health encompasses not only the physical but also the emotional, spiritual and social aspects of a person's life.

I am deeply committed to providing compassionate care, ensuring that my patients feel heard, valued, and respected during every visit. I believe in educating my patients about their conditions and treatment options, enabling them to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

Personal Interests

When I'm not caring for patients or engaging in community activities, I enjoy horse riding, reading, art museums, travel and playing with my animals. These activities help me recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance, allowing me to be at my best when providing care to my patients.

I am honored to be part of the healthcare journey for individuals and families in our community. If you are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner who values your health and well-being, I would be delighted to welcome you to my practice. Together, we can work towards achieving your health goals and ensuring a brighter, healthier future for you and your loved ones.

Nurse Lead

Karen Bryson, RN, MSN

Hello, I'm Karen M. Bryson, a registered nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing Education. I'm licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. My extensive background in the nursing field has allowed me to combine direct patient care with a passion for teaching future generations of nurses.

My career has been dedicated to both clinical practice and education. I've had the privilege of being a clinical instructor at institutions such as Excelsior University, Iona University, and Molloy University. In these roles, I've had the opportunity to teach nursing students in both online and in-person clinical settings. My teaching has covered a variety of areas, including adult inpatient med/surg and critical care.

My clinical experience is broad, with roles at various hospitals and healthcare systems. I've worked as a RN in units from Medical Oncology all the way to Critical Care at New York Presbyterian Medical Center's Critical Care Units. I also have excellent patient coordination skills after working many years at NYP's Transfer Center, where I facilitated patient transfers and acted as a liaison between different hospitals to ensure safe and efficient movement of patients.

I am certified as an AHA BLS Instructor and hold certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). My commitment to nursing education and patient care has been the driving force of my career, and I continue to seek out new opportunities to contribute to the field.

When I am not working you can find me on the trails in our beautiful Hudson Valley, or tearing apart some room in my house taking on another remodeling project in my house.

I am excited to help you on Your Path to Wellness!

Tech  Lead

Roentgen S. Buray

Hi, I'm Roentgen S. Buray—but feel free to call me “Ron.” I'm a proud Filipino nurse with a heart for healing and a passion for progress. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Liceo de Cagayan University in 2007, and I’ve been walking the wellness path ever since—through hospital hallways, public health outreach, emergency rooms, and even virtual clinics.
From triaging ER patients and leading disaster response efforts to becoming a tech-savvy medical virtual assistant, I’ve worn many hats (and yes, sometimes PPE gear that feels more like armor!). These experiences taught me that healing isn't just about medicine—it's about connection, compassion, and showing up for people when they need it most.
I’ve worked with electronic medical records like Athena, DrChrono, and NovoClinical—making sense of digital charts while supporting nurse practitioners (like Amy here!) behind the scenes to help their days run smoother.

Personal Interests
When I’m not nursing or documenting from afar, you’ll probably find me geeking out over public health, helping my community plan for emergencies, or finding ways to bring order to the chaos (it’s my superpower). I love learning new systems, solving problems, and finding the sweet spot between clinical care and genuine human connection.
I believe wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s a personal journey. That’s why I’m proud to be part of Your Wellness Path—a space where heart, science, and humor come together to help people feel better, live fuller, and take charge of their own healing.
Let’s walk this path together—with kindness, curiosity, and maybe a few laughs along the way.
